A B O U T
KATE HOGG is a full time visual artist living and working within Toronto Canada. She obtained a BFA from OCAD University during which she studied for one year in Florence, Italy under the direction of the late art historian Peter Porcal, as well as illustrator Jean-Christian Knaff and figure painter Maria Gabankova. Hogg's interests in the material arts have led to further studies in printmaking and paper works. She has continued to produce work from a wide range of materials, with a more recent inclusion in her repertoire of digital arts, light optics and public installations.
HOGG&BORG was founded by Kate Hogg and Gabriella Borg in 2014. HOGG&BORG produce large scale site-specific sculptures, installations and events within public spaces and aimed at all ages. The duo explores the manipulation and recreation of space utilizing non-traditional materials.
